So lately I’ve been going nuts over this producer I found by the name of Onra (check his MySpace here.)

This Paris cat produces super dusty, super fresh tracks in the style of people like J Dilla and Oh No. For the album Chinoiseries, he put together 32 tracks sampling nothing but Vietnamese records he found on the streets of Saigon.

Towards the end of the album is the super-funky, aptly titled “They Got Breaks Too.”

In any case, it’s different, it’s dope, and it would make me ridiculously happy to hear this being played at jams.

I mean, it’s kind of a prerequisite for b-boys and b-girls to love breaks, but how often do we get to get down to an authentic Vietnamese break?
